Prefinished Install—Boulder Retail Store

We installed this prefinished, handscraped wood floor at the Weekends Boulder Store on the Pearl St. Mall.

Prefinished Stained Oak

This particular job had existing ¾” x 2 ¼” Red Oak. Our customer choose to add the prefinished oak in the living room. We suggested adding a border to the room along with the 2 ¼” lighter colored oak feature strip. This helped tie the flooring together.

In this project, there were quite a few issues related to how flat and level the floor was based on a subfloor that was over 100 years old. On this project, we decided to correct the most pronounced areas. Installing the wider plank really helped to shore up the flooring and give a more solid feeling under foot.
